Despite the lack of evidence, many people continue to talk about 'male' and 'female' brains. Recent research claims that the idea that sex controls the fundamentals of brain anatomy and behavior is a myth that is easier to believe than ever before. This all began in Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries, when the emergence of egalitarian ideas necessitated the creation of a scientific account of women's inferior status. This is where biological complementary medicine got its start.
